Senior Backend Engineer (Java)
Overview
We are looking for a backend engineer, experienced primarily with Java 8+ and secondarily with Rust to join the Live Events team. You will work with the team to develop our systems related to live events. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music. In this team you'll help both fans and artists connect over what shows are available and around them. What you’ll do
Evolve, scale and platformise our tooling for live events; Work with our operation teams to improve the tooling user experience; Work with squads across the organization to develop the platform; Be hands on and deliver on complex backend tasks. Who you are
You are experienced with Java 8+, and have an intermediate to advanced understanding of distributed, high-volume services, JVM concepts and architecture patterns. Some experience with Rust is preferred. You are deeply familiar with SQL-like languages and relational databases. You have experience designing, implementing and scaling cloud-native software components on providers like AWS or GCP is highly desirable.
